About CSL Style and Locale Validator

The CSL Style and Locale Validator checks Citation Style Language (CSL) styles and locale files against the CSL schema and can be used to prepare your file for submission to our style repository or locale repository. For style submissions, once your CSL style validates without errors, please run your style through our CSL Style Formatter.

    About This Fork

This is a fork of the official CSL validator. CSL-M extensions and Zotero Chinese Community’s schema are added to facilitate debugging styles beyond the CSL specification.

Note that Zotero Chinese Community’s schema might still be helpful even if you are not doing anything related to Chinese. Their schema is more like an up-to-date description of citeproc-js (the engine used by Zotero). It contains a few undocumented features of citeproc-js. For example, the term citation-range-delimiter and arbitrary extra fields in notes.
